Originaire de Qu\u00e9bec, Carl Viel a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 un baccalaur\u00e9at en \u00e9conomie, une certification universitaire en gouvernance de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de l’Universit\u00e9 Laval et il a \u00e9galement obtenu des dipl\u00f4mes en entrepreneurship du Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), en leadership du NTL Institute et en coaching du Niagara Institute. Ayant travaill\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 20 ans dans le secteur priv\u00e9, il occupe depuis quelques ann\u00e9es des fonctions de gestionnaire dans diff\u00e9rentes organisations \u00e0 caract\u00e8re \u00e9conomique. Ainsi, il a agi comme vice-pr\u00e9sident de Montr\u00e9al International puis directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Montr\u00e9al InVivo avant de se joindre \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec International \u00e0 titre de pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 ses fonctions chez Qu\u00e9bec International, M. Viel est impliqu\u00e9 dans diff\u00e9rents comit\u00e9s et organismes caritatifs. En juillet 2022, M. Viel a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cor\u00e9 de l\u2019Ordre national du M\u00e9rite de la R\u00e9publique
